Transporting wind turbines
It seems like helicopter would be the way to go, but wind turbines are shipped in pieces on huge trucks. They don’t really fit on roads because they are so large, and special traffic plans must be made for their transport. They are even too big to be shipped on many trains. Given that airplanes cannot stop in one position, it seems that helicopters would be ideal for this work.
With unemployment so high in many places, I have to wonder why the turbines are not built from scratch on-site in the first place. It seems like only the parts that convert rotation into electricity would be the ones that would have to be built off-site.
