One of the things I miss in Taiwan is good Chinese food. Maybe more particularly, Uighur food from the northwestern areas of China. They have lots of good breads, noodles, and they are capable of making things spicy.

It turns out there is an authentic Uighur restaurant in Taipei. The selection is not great, but the noodles are excellent. If you eat meat (or eat with friends that do), you can get plates that include flatbread with the food. The bread would not be anything great in China, but for Taiwan, it is excellent.

The noodles here I have to mix myself. They can make it spicy, but they severely underestimate my eating capacity. These bowls are intended for groups of people – I will come by and have two just as a snack. I eat more than most though…

The restaurant is located at 台北市大安區信義路4段265巷15號, or not far from the Anhe Rd. MRT station (likely open 3 years from now).
