Neihu line opens for trial service
Since I don’t have lots of time to be stuck in traffic anymore, I like to go places easily accessible on public transportation. That has meant, up to now, I have not visited Neihu (well, at least other than the Costco in that area).
However, the brown line extension in Taipei north through Neihu will change that soon. Open for trial service as of Monday, and open officially this Saturday at 2pm. I don’t know why the MRT likes to open line extensions at 2pm rather than at the start of the day, but that is just the way it is.
The extension follows the outer edges of Neihu (proposed lines will go through the middle of Neihu in the future), so it is great for finding new places for hiking.
