On 永康街 (Yongkang St), a place with many popular eateries, is a curry restaurant called Green Curry. Most of the restaurants seem to cater to Taiwanese tastes, so I was expecting a bland, corn starch styled curry.
To start, a cup of lentil soup was brought out. It had more spice than one usually gets here in Taiwan.
However, the food had more spice than I expected. Their chili paste had power. It wasn’t particularly Indian or Thai with the short, stubby Japanese rice. Since the bread was good, I didn’t worry about that too much. Perhaps conveniently this time, the food was not that filling, so it left me room to explore some other places the same night. The bagged tea gave me an excuse to search out some better tea as well.
If only there had been more…the view was nice.
