Taipei Lantern Festival

Recently there has been a lantern festival in Taipei. It isn’t the kind where people release lanterns with wishes, but rather something more like a parade with floats that are lit (and mostly stationary). Because of the panda arrival this year, a number of places in the festival had panda lanterns.

Many of the floats also concerned people’s typical desires like love:

Additionally there was an area that had depictions of famous places on other continents. The Taipei 101 towered above them all though.
