Beitou to Yangmingshan

In the north of Taipei, there are two famous places people like to go – Beitou for hot springs and Yangmingshan for beautiful mountain views. I have been to both, but I hadn’t travelled from one to the other directly. I continued up the road from the main hot spring area in Beitou into the mountains. It was very smelly from all the sulfur springs in the area, but there were some interesting views. I saw sunset, but it did not match what I saw the day before because power lines interrupted the view. While hot springs are a legacy of the Japanese occupation, the power lines also seem to be. Japan has many views which are obstructed by power lines. I still managed to capture a few shots without power lines though.
