One of the things I have noticed as I investigate various schools to study at in Taiwan – for Chinese study, the tuition is far less than what I’d pay in mainland China. Typical cost in China for a University course would be around 6000-8000RMB per semester.
In Taiwan, 16000NT for a semester. Other costs are higher, and I have no impression yet as to which programmes here are good or bad, but I wonder how schools here would differ.
They all seem to use the New Practical Chinese Reader for their textbooks.
On the other hand, I need to work on my Chinese listening/speaking skills more than book work, particularly now.
