After my long bike ride and my return to Haikou, I decided I would get a massage. My regular massage place was offering a new service, 刮痧 (skin scraping). I decided to try.

Apparently it is supposed to hurt a bit when the scraping is done (not after), but I did not feel any pain. It only looked bad. Right after, my scraped skin was red, but by the next day, it was a deep purple colour. It was good that I had taken a shower, since you are not supposed to wash the affected area for at least 12 hours.
Maybe it did not hurt because other parts of my body still hurt from my long bike ride.

It could be I didn’t feel anything because I didn’t have any of the physical problems skin scraping takes care of.

Perhaps it was the fact I was too full from the meal I ate so I could get a 傳統永和豆漿 VIP card. A picture of some of what I ate the night before, by myself:

Other than the bowl of ramen, I finished the vast majority of what was on each plate, if not all of it. It took me over two hours to eat though. I didn’t get a photo at the very beginning because my camera was completely out of battery power.
