I wasn’t sure if I had been to the National Palace Museum in Korea before today, so I went. The special exhibition right now is a flag that has returned to Korea after being in the USA for something like 130 years. The room was quite dim, so I didn’t get a good picture of that.

There are a few treasures to be seen, but nothing compared to the National Palace Museum in Taiwan. The museum in Korea is quite a bit smaller. The highlights for me inside were some of the oldest motor vehicles in Korea:

A clock that hits chimes running off of constant water pressure:
..and the Chinese character for water composed of the Chinese character for dragon.
Outside the museum, Cherry Blossoms have begun to bloom. It doesn’t seem like the area around the palace is particularly good for Cherry Blossom viewing. Other places in Korea are better for that.
