Korean Vegetarian Food
A lot of Koreans don’t seem to think it is possible to survive on a vegetarian diet, and perhaps that is because most vegetarian restaurants are not in Korean-dominated areas. My principal treated me to lunch at a Vegetarian restaurant. The food was Korean, but the restaurant itself is located in the tourist area of Insa-dong. Incidentally, I have to go there to get the best green tea, because so many Koreans prefer coffee (mostly freeze dried at that). At 10,000 won, not a bad deal, and I got some ideas for my own cooking. For example, what would normally be BBQ Chicken was actually walnuts covered in a spicy sauce.
