Even for me, it is a bit random to go high into the mountains of Taiwan just to see sheep that are from New Zealand, but that is part of what my recent trip entailed. Apparently they used to shave the sheep in front of the audience, but this time that did not happen.
The sheep show was more like an infomercial where they tried to get people to buy cow milk, sheep milk, lanolin, and various other goods that come from the animals herded and grown in the area. At least I was smart enough to park elsewhere and walk to the park… much cheaper overall, and still go exposure to corny farm animal jokes in Chinese.
I shouldn’t forget to mention the Engrish on a sign in the area, even though these sheep were brought over by Kiwis and apparently still under the care of Kiwis…
"Please feed the sheep on feed."
In other news, one day of English camp down. The students were great. So I am not completely devoid of reasons to be in Korea now.
