Money for the holidays

Like China, Korea’s largest denomination currency note is worth around USD10. Given that foreigners  in Korea cannot withdraw money internationally from Korean banks, and cannot wire money elsewhere without visiting a bank branch (not so easy to do since I am at work when banks are open), I have to carry my money in cash.

I am feeling kind of rich right now…

Also, in the holiday scam spirit, it seems that somebody has been trying to get into my online auction account. The person fails to realise that resetting the password gets it sent to my mobile phone. It is not possible to reset the password by using a computer alone. The person might even be mistyping their own account name, but in any case the person has tried resetting the password 26 times. One would think after the first time, they might try looking at what they are doing wrong… but noooooooooo.
