It couldn’t be further from the truth. Though I often eat a lot more kimchi than other people, it isn’t that spicy.
Because of a restaurant review, I can quantitatively show that kimchi is not that spicy. I find it interesting that it only rates 2/10 on their spiciness scale, the same as a mildly spicy curry. According to them, extremely spicy Mexican food only rates a 4/10.
According to their page, nobody has ever ordered a curry with level 10 spiciness. I guess I will have to try a level 5 and go up from there.
