The command key on the mac often has two symbols – an Apple and something else. The something else is called St. John’s Arms. It is also used as a Place of Interest marker in several northern European nations. Originally it was a symbol of luck.
Why it was chosen for the Mac.
How international. It reminds me of the "infinity" symbol.
