I got a nice seat on the KCR train heading back to the mainland. At one of the stops, an old woman and her daughter (also fairly old got on the train). They looked at me. But I did not give up my seat. Why? The old woman, as she got onto the train, threw some trash in the gap between the train platform and the train. If the old woman can’t be bothered to hold onto the trash two more feet and throw it into the bin, I can’t be bothered to move two more feet either.
Not to mention the fact with all my luggage, I take up a lot more space if I stand. When I sit, I can pile the luggage on my lap. But for elderly people that act their age, I am more than glad to give up my seat on their behalf.
