Food contamination

Ever higher amounts of suspect food from China are apparently falling through the cracks and making it into the US market. One example was tea leaves dried with car exhaust. Apparently China must use leaded fuel, because there were trace amounts of lead found in those leaves. That tidbit would explain why some very expensive tea given to me did not taste like tea, but like latex.

On my own, I have taken to buying Japanese Green Tea when I am outside mainland China. It just tastes better, and the green colour is more natural.
